Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. best was a baptist minister and activist who was a leader in the Civil Rights Movement. Known for his advancement of civil rights using no violence and his famous I Have A Dream speech. He led the Montgomery bus boycott and helped organize the March on Washington, where he delivered his famous speech.
I can remember as a child growing up in my parents house on this day. This day was a big deal in the brown family home. My dad used to make me watch the I Have A Dream speech every year each time it would be played on tv. He used to say, sit down and get you some history. Dr. King was very important, not just in African-American history in history in general. He believed that everyone was created equal and the color of your skin shouldn’t mean that your less of a person.
