15 Years of SB DUNK: Stories from the Inside Out

To celebrate the 15th anniversary of the Nike SB Dunk, VICE Magazine recently released a documentary which explores the unique intersection of sneakerheads and the skate community brought on by Nike Skateboarding’s shoe line. The video looks back at when Nike SBs weren’t “grailed” items, examining the conception of Nike SBs and the internet subculture that progressed as the “hype” grew. Talking to shop owners, collaborators and skateboarders who helped make the SB Dunk become legend the documentary displays the importance of Nike SBs for the worlds of skateboarding and sneaker culture.

The Get Down: Part II (Trailer)

April 7th can’t came fast enough.  The trailer starts out like an episode of Inside the Music, following The Get Down Brothers in their transition into the mainstream all while clashing with  disco.  Netflix describes it as:

“A mythic saga of dreams, desire, soul and sound, The Get Down chronicles the epic musical evolution from disco to hip hop that defined 1970s New York City – as told by the relationships, struggles, triumphs, and artistry of the South Bronx teens who saw it through.”
