Medals of Freedom

President Obama handed out 21 Medals of Freedom, the nation’s highest civilian honor, for the very last time. Personally selected by Obama himself, the medals are presented to individuals who have contributed to “the security or national interests of the United States, to world peace or to cultural or other significant public or private endeavors.” Among the recipients to receive the Presidential Medal of Freedom was none other than the G.O.A.T., Michael Jordan. Before giving the award to Jordan, President Barack Obama shared a few words, made jokes about the “Crying Jordan” meme, and once again reminded us why he will be  missed when he leaves the White House.

Joining Jordan among the field of sports were Vin Scully and Kareem Abdul-Jabbar.  The 2016 recipients also included Tom Hanks, Ellen DeGeneres, Robert De Niro, Bill and Melinda Gates, Bruce Springsteen, Lorne Michaels, and more.

World Record: 180m Shot off a Dam

Three Australians set a World Record for the longest basketball shot.  YouTube’s How Ridiculous reclaimed there title , beating American rivals Dude Perfect Crew’s 162 meter (531 feet) shot from the top of a skyscraper.  The Australians traveled to Mauvoisin Dam in Switzerland and nailed a 180 meter (590 feet) shot in just three tries.

Steph Curry, think you can top that?

Dave Chappelle Has 3 Comedy Specials On The Way

This is by far the best news I have heard this week.

Following his amazing hosting job on SNL, Dave is back with more comedy stand up.  Netflix and the genius to comedy, Chappelle, has 3 yes 3 stand up specials in the works that are coming soon.

Netflix hasn’t announced any dates for the stand up specials, I have a feeling that this is going to a very highly anticipated release from the duo.  2017 is looking really good for Netflix.

David Blaine Beyond Magic

This guy is not human.

David Blaine’s latest tv special, Beyond Magic, aired on November 15th on ABC.  Its what you can expect from David, crazy and utterly terrorizing.  He does some crazy things with frogs and mind blowing things with rings and reading peoples thoughts.

Oh then he decided he wanted to catch a bullet with his teeth like he was Bruce Leroy from The Last Dragon.
